Checking in for Breakaway

Hi everyone - A question for those who've sailed Breakaway so far. When you check in (11:00ish it sounds like), do they take your bags right away, or do you walk on with them. If they take them, do you have to board right away? My wife and I were talking about trying to check out the USS Intrepid Museum the next pier over before we sail. I'm just not sure if it's possible to do so once you've checked in and they have your bags.

You give your bags to a porter before entering the terminal building, then check in and then you can go back out into the city, but are you willing to carry your carryon bags with you sightseeing?

You can drop your bags with the porter, check in, drop the rest of your stuff off on the ship, and then go to the Intrepid.

Not sure about other sailings but in June we boarded the ship at 11:50 am and were told we could go right to our cabin. Ours was ready for us, but some others weren't quite there yet.

Thank you both! Not worried about carry on stuff. At most it might be a backpack that we would keep with us. The only downside to Intrepid would be that we would likely miss out on Vibe passes.
