Wine Stores in Anchorage

We are staying at the Best Western the night before sailing and would like to buy some nice wines to bring onboard. Can someone suggest a good place to purchase wines. We are aware of the corkage fee on Princess and therefore are looking at bringing on board finer wines. Is there anything like Total Wines available in Anchorage?

Thanks,

FBG

There's the Crush downtown at the 5th Avenue Mall:

And then there's Brown Jug:

If you don't have a rental car, you'll have to take a taxi or the People Mover bus to get downtown. The Best Western is in mid-town.

There's a Brown Jug within a half of a mile of the hotel if you feel like walking. It's at 4140 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage, AK 99503.

I think your best bet would be the Brown Jug off the Old Seward. This is what they call their Warehouse and they have a large selection of wine, for a wide variety of prices.

Susan in Anchorage :)

We will be in downtown Anchorage before reboarding tour bus to get on ship in Seward. Should we buy our wine in Anchorage or is there a store close to port in Seward? Thanks! :)
