kaeffe Posted September 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2013 I can not tolerate cold water. We're going to be in Belize in Dec. and was considering doing the cave tubing but I'm afraid the water will be cold, especially in the cave. Does any know if the water will be chilly? What suggestions for Belize besides the cave tubing?
OCruisers Posted September 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2013 We've loved booking excursions that take us out to the Barrier Reef (second largest in the world). Awesome to snorkel or just swim around with a swim mask there. :) LuLu ~~~~
majicmarginman Posted September 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2013 My family cave-tubed in Belize in Jan 2011 and Jan 2012. The milder air temps (about 75 each time) made the water very comfortable. I remember initially being concerned about the "cold" water, but it was not an issue. mitsugirly Posted September 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2013 I think somewhere on one of the tour sites (maybe .bz) it mentions that the water temp is always the same there at the caves (70 something I believe). ***Actually I just found it*** How cold is the water? The water is very refreshing, around 70 to 74 degrees, and it stays about the same year round. It's really great when you've been hiking on a warm day.
