Take on wine at embarkation?

Been a while since I cruised X.......do they allow you to bring on a bottle of wine in carry on at embarkation.....for consumption in the cabin?

Yes, two bottles per cabin. No corkage fee if opened/consumed in your SR

Is there somewhere near the port or in Sultanahmet in Istanbul to buy wine to take aboard Celebrity Connie? Did I read we are allowed 2 bottles per cabin for SR consumption only?

We have visited Istanbul an number of times. We find that the best place to buy wine is at the airport duty free store. It is located in the baggage area-just ahead of the customs/immigration exit area.

 

We find the selection and the prices better than the few other place that we have seen in Istanbul.
