Arriving Miami Airport domestic and looking for the cheapest way

for ONE PERSON to get to the Port of Miami...

cruise transfer seems like a hassle and waiting game,

I've heard that cabs are flat $26 +tip

I arrive close to noon, so I can't believe somebody else might want to share

a cab to the port from the airport at that time, but Ive never done this before

solo...

anybody? THANK YOU :)

that's "might NOT want to share a cab" as in...there must be OTHERS also needing to go the port who don't fill a cab (or am I just an optimist?) hahaha

We actually had someone approach us at the cab stand. She offered to split our cab. She saw our cruise tags on our suitcases...same ship. We were happy to split the fare. At noon you will see lots of cruisers headed to the port. Just ask a couple to share.

Hi!

Since, it was just me, I just got a taxi. It was quick and convenient.

I would not try to share a cab for the simple reason that flights do not always get in on time and trying to coordinate it will be very difficult between potential flight delays and also the time to claim luggage for those checking it in.

Sharing a cab leaving the ship is a different story.

Why not the cruiseline's transportation? $15 per person and you're certain to make it there on time....

And if this is for your Carnival cruise, you can even check in at MIA upon arrival.

I agree not to try to set up a shared cab ahead of time. As Keith says, stuff happens to delay. This works great when disembarking.

I wouldn't use cruise transfers either. You'll sit around until all the other cruisers' flights have arrived, bags claimed, loaded etc.

Either pick up a shared ride while waiting at the cab stop or go it alone.
