Another Ft. Lauderdale Hotel question

I tried doing a search for this but nothing came up, so sorry if this has been asked a million times.

Does any one have any info or thoughts on the Quality Inn that is on Broward Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale. It would only be for one night pre cruise in February. The price is good, and would rather spend the money on the cruise than on a hotel room for one night, but don't want to stay in a dump either.

I'd start off looking at recent reviews on tripadvisor.com. Then come back and name the hotel in your title to attract people who know the hotel.;) hint.... Lots of readers here don't open threads that aren't specific to them.

I do not recommend staying in this area. It's a bit dodgy, located right off I-95, and I would not recommend walking around there in the evening. There are no shops or restaurants nearby, but Las Olas is a 10-minute taxi ride away.

I would not stay there if you paid me a million dollars. The price is good because it's in the middle of crack town.

It is at 6650 North Andrews Avenue for post-cruise stay. I understand that it is 12 miles away from FLL airport, but we will be having a rental car. The hotel offer complimentary parking. Thank you.

That Marriott would be fine with a car. It's just off I95 so it's easy to get to. There is a shopping center on the block with a very nice multiplex cinema and chain restaurants (but not much shopping :rolleyes:).

LOL! The neighborhood is fine. It's mostly office park/industrial/executive airport and moderate-income housing nearby.

Hyatt Place Ft Lauderd 17th St Conv Center. check this place out, stayed there last November and it was perfect for a one night stay... right around the corner from the cruise terminal.

We always stay at the Embassy Suites on 17th. It may be more expensive, but it is a safe area and restaurants and grocery store are within a short walking distance.
