kalikid Posted January 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2014 Has anyone traveled to Rosarita from Ensenada for the day? How did you get there? We'll be in Ensenada in about 2 weeks and thinking about going there.
riffatsea Posted January 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Usually folks drive between the 2 areas but right now the fast road has been damaged and cannot be used so I wouldn't plan that trip for another 6 months until the road is fixed. Starlight Durban Cruising Posted January 8, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2014 It will be a while OMG, that is seriously a disaster  . I was on one of the Carnival tour busses between La Fonda and Ensenada in Dec 2012 and it looked a little damaged then. This is way worse in your photo. xbatt8 Posted January 21, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2014 Yes, La Libre is still open, but it has many intersections, businesses, and people crossing it. It also has a much slower speed limit. The OP was asking about a day trip, presumably during a cruise (which allows a short time in port). If you are talking about driving 1 1/2 - 2 hours each way, you would get much less time in Rosarito. This is why the closure to Mex1D is so important to make note of. Dave_Baja Posted January 21, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) It takes sbout 65 minutes to get there No is no problem what so ever i have used and my family and friends And no problems. Actually now is faster becuase they are sending the big cargo buses trhu the tecate highway.. Its faster to go on a private taxi. Thats what i got some friends of mine so they can have more time there. But if you are comming to Ensenada i would use my time in Ensenada many great options Edited January 21, 2014 by Dave_Baja
