lisajm Posted January 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2014 I printed our boarding pass and luggage tags last night and there was a snafu. All the letters in the words were replaced with 6's on the boarding pass and 8's on the luggage tags. I tried using firefox and safari. Any suggestions? RMS95 Posted January 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2014 Try to use a different printer, I printed mine at work and it did that, so I asked our IT guys and they said it was a printer driver issue. I tried a different printer and it worked fine.

carrieluvsgreg Posted January 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2014 A similar thing happened with our friends on our December cruise. I agree with the previous post, she opened it at a different printer and it printed fine. Good luck!
jamesr3939 Posted January 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I had the same happen where some of the letters and numbers didn't print entirely. I tired using two different printers with same results. I finally just used a sharpie to fill in the missing digits.
rebelcruiser Posted January 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I went to print our documents for our upcoming cruise and had much gibberish and such. I called Carnival and they asked if I was using Firefox as my browser. I was and switched to to chrome and had no issues. Hope this helps!
BenjiRodney Posted January 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Printed mine from Chrome or Safari and had no issues, only when I tried to use Internet Explorer.
Colorado Kat Posted January 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 16, 2014 You can show up without Carnival luggage tags. The porters will make them out for you.

crusinpsychRN Posted January 19, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Now and then mine come out in gobbledegook. I just go back and print again and they're fine.
oldrailfan Posted January 20, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) I open the files and save the PDF's locally before printing them out, then use Adobe instead of the reader in IE or Firefox or Chrome to open and print them out. No distortions or partial letters and no 6666666666 or 88888888888. ("Browser" - that's the word I wanted... darn senior moments) Also, as others noted, old printer drivers can mess up the printout, so make sure your drivers are up-to-date.
