Are lanyards still available in the casinos?

In the past I have taken our S&S cards and had the hole punched in them and used the bungy type lanyards from the casino. Just curious if they still do that or is there something new?

Yes, they had them in October on our last cruise. We bring our own but go to the casino to have the card hole punched. There were at least 2 crew members with dozens of red & blue lanyards around their arms.

Still the same, just different colors. Ours on the Sunshine last week were red.

Red and blue are the only 2 choices I have ever seen for these free lanyards.

I have seen pics of these lanyards that look like the old "phone cords", is that them? And do they go around your neck or attach to like a belt loop? Just wondering.

They are the same plastic coil tethers you get at the land based casinos. You can attatch them to a belt loop or put it around your neck and connect it to itself to make a "lanyard". I usually bring a real one from home.

Yes.

 

Many times I'll rework it. Get rid of the coil and just attach the clip to my belt loop.

I attach a micro flashlight to my lanyard/clip. Has come in handy a few times.

In previous years I have just asked for one at the window and was given one. This past August, they said you had to be playing in the casino so I just sat down at the cheapest slot machine I could find and played a few minutes. When a waiter came around and asked if I needed anything I asked her if I could have a lanyard and she got me one.

We just walked into the casino and asked for one last week on the Magic. They punched our card and gave us a red lanyard.
