Captains club upgrade - from guarantee

Hi There Cruisers,

 

Am about to take a punt and book a Concierge Guarantee (same price as a Balcony :D )

 

I know the Captains Club offer a one category upgrade, and am curious if this would apply to the Concierge Guarantee (XC)

When I asked a similar question when booking our next sailing, we were told, what ever level we booked we would be charged the cost of the next lower level. We booked a 1A, because it was lower than a 2A! That was strange, so we did not do the 1 cat upgrade. I dont know how they would handle a Guarantee since you could be given a C1, C2, or a C3

I booked a concierge GTY for an upcoming cruise and was assigned a C1. I believe there were a few C2's still available at the time.

Not sure about guarantee, but I booked a C2 and paid for a C3. Worked like a charm and am very appreciative that they included all cabins in this perk.

That isn't the same issue. You just got lucky with your assignment. They don't assign you a c2 and then up grade you. You also could have ended up with a C3 if there were any. Just the luck of the draw with a guarantee.
