Galveston TX RCI Ship change ?

Now it has been reported that the port in Galveston is going to get upgrade, I am not clear ? Will Royal add a ship to sail along will Navigator or are we looking to replace Navigator for larger class of ship?

There has been other talk on CC about this; I think I read where there will be a Freedom class ship coming to Galveston. Independence? Try the search feature and see if you can find it.

What has been said on CC is that a Freedom class ship will be eventually be based in Galveston and Navigator is heading to Puerto Rico.

Indy and Freedom's next season schedules are already out and both sail from Florida. Liberty's next season schedule is not yet posted. Should be Liberty from Galveston next season.

If all is as indicated, that would be good but -IMO - in particular if Navigator heads to PR. That would be a nice upgraded ship for those itineraries.

I agree. I think that Galveston in getting the Liberty that they would be getting the best Freedom class ship. It actually surprised me that they have had her doing the 4/5 night rotation which are typically cheaper cruises. With having the broadway show on board I would have thought she would have been better suited for the 7 day cruises.

 

Hoping at some time they would add the broadway shows to the Indy and Freedom.
