cruisencrazy Posted March 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2014 We would like to snorkel during our visit, since it will be our first time there. Our ship offers a catamaran or a speed boat. They are between 60 to 80 $$ per person. Are there other ways or charters you would suggest please? I would like to go to the baths, but I need to see Tortola first. blue_water Posted March 30, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2014 The ship excursions may be great options, nit sure where they go. Any details available? Do you have your own snorkel gear? Patouche, Kuralu, White Squall and Aristocat are all great catamaran snorkel sails, all are out of the RT area except Kuralu which is out of the West End. For off the beach snorkeling you can just taxi to Brewers Bay for $12 - 16pp roundtrip, or to Smuggler's Cove for a little more.

We do have our own snorkel equipment. Thanks very much for the info.

kersh Posted November 15, 2014 #9 Share Posted November 15, 2014 No snorkel hire. A very primitive beach with few facilities. Just one bar and sunbeds. Fantastic snorkelling, very clear water. Lots of Pelicans.
CGinMTL Posted November 16, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Great Idea. How much was the cab ride to Brewster's Bay ?
kersh Posted November 16, 2014 #11 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Can't remember the exact taxi fare. The fare toCane Garden Bay was 6 dollars each way so brewers would Benoa more than 10 dollars each way.
blue_water Posted November 16, 2014 #12 Share Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Can you hire snorkel equipment in brewers bay and how much is it thanks Yes, at Brewers Bay you can rent snorkel gear and lounges at Nicole's beach bar. Taxi to Brewers and CGB via safari taxi is $8pp each way, and taxis will return to pick folks up. CGB is the busiest bay with several beach restaurants/bars but no real snorkeling, Brewers is the next busiest with good snorkeling andonebeach bar and a campground, and Smuggler's Cove is the more secluded option with good snorkeling but no amenities.
