I've been on a number of Carnival cruises over July 4. Several of them were spent in current or former British territories, even....;) Tortola, Saint John Canada, and Grand Turk.

The last few years, Carnival has been ramping up their July 4 activities. There have been July 4 themed trivia contests, late-night buffets, entertainment, etc.

Last year we spent July 4 with a sea day on a Baltic cruise. Given the location, there wasn't much in the way of a celebration - but a number of Americans were dressed in red white and blue.

Hmm....

Since its a Bahamian registered ship, with mostly Italian senior staff (captain and officers) with an international crew and international clientele, why should they do something special?

It's just an honest question. Your snark is not appreciated.

Because their paying guests are mostly Americans who want to celebrate the occasion. Not only should they do something special, but they will.

Hope they do something for July 1st as well

We sailed the first week of July on a different cruise line and they did a little something for both 4th of July and Canada Day.

For the 4th they decorated the buffet with flags and stuff and included American pie and other sorts of typical foods. Also the children club had a parade where they make banners and painted their faces. They all sang Yankee Doodle and a few other songs. There may have been a mention in the daily times as well as a themed event somewhere on deck(can't remember-sorry)

 ahhh.... dont worry about rude comments. Some people search for questions to answer in a smart **** way. No worries. I am wondering the same thing since we will be on a cruise over July 4th.

Thank you! You are right I don't worry about the rude comments, it just shows the rest of us who the little people are! Thanks to everyone who answered in an adult way.

I love when people have 6000 post and have to say some thing in a snark way. If you can't be kind just don't say anythink. I have been on 35 cruises but never on my birthday" the 4th of July" but think they would do something nice

It was posted that every ship in the fleet, with the exception of the Spirit, celebrated the 4th of July in one manner or the other. Just not here.

Just off the DREAM and it was a fabulous 4th! Besides all the USA trivia during the day, the DREAM had the large flag in atrium, the traditional 4th games on the Lido, as well as recognition of the day and all active and retired military people during nightly show. We had a huge deck party starting with National Anthem. Also there were lots of Fireworks on big scren with dancing till late. During party red, white, and blue streamers, whistles, fans, glasses, and flags were thrown. People really dressed up with colors of the flag. Best themed 4 th we have ever had !!
