prebooking cagneys with more people than needed

I am just wondering what I should do. There are three of us taking the Breakaway in three weeks. We like to travel with grandma but she doesn't like to eat too too late so here is my dilemma. If we prebook Cagneys for 3 people the only times I can get is 930pm but is I book for 4 we can get for 8pm. Someone mentioned to book it for the 4 people and have them adjust it and refund the extra on board. Has anyone done this??

This will work just fine. Just to be aware though, they almost certainly will refund the charge with OBC. As long as you don't mind that, it will work fine.

book the right amount of people at whatever time it shows online and when you get on board have the time switched by calling the reservation desk. That way you don't have to pay more.

I did this for my upcoming cruise and they said to change the number when I get on board and will get OBC. Keep in mind, I think you have to cancel 24 hours prior to the reservation time.
