Fttf! :)

Recommended Posts

So, FTTF allows the following things:

1. Allows you to board after the Diamond/Platinum and Suite guests, but before the masses, if you get to the port around 1030 or so.

2. Allows you to get to your room right away. So, you can drop your bags and then head to lunch

3. Your luggage that you dropped off should be at your room NLT 1:00. Key word is "should". Last cruise ours was, previous one, it wasn't

4. Allows you to have priority boarding a tender (for the ports that use a tender (like Grand Cayman, Belize).

5. Allows you to use the Diamond/Platinum Guest Services line onboard

6. Allows you to disembark the ship at the end of the cruise faster than the masses.

I am sure I've missed a few. IMHO, it is DEFINITELY worth the $50.

Faster to the Fun

Now guests can maximize their vacation fun with Carnival’s Faster to the Fun (FTTF) package. This program is available for purchase via Carnival.com Shore Excursions.

Faster to the Fun has been rolled out in the following home ports:

¨ Baltimore

¨ Charleston

¨ Fort Lauderdale

¨ Galveston

¨ Jacksonville

¨ Long Beach

¨ Miami

¨ New Orleans

¨ New York

¨ Port Canaveral

¨ San Juan

¨ Seattle

¨ Tampa

Want to squeeze every minute of fun out of your vacation? You can with our Faster to the Fun package. With this package, you get an express lane to the FUN (and yes, FASTER!). Here’s what it includes:

Priority Security, Check-in and Express Boarding

Bypass lines and have exclusive security screening lanes. If you arrive after general boarding has begun, you may bypass the general boarding line and board via the Faster to the Fun lane. The quicker you are on the ship, the quicker you get to hold a frosty drink.

First Access to Stateroom

Your stateroom will be ready for you as soon as you board so you can relax or freshen up for all the fun you are about to have.

Express Luggage

Your luggage will be expedited to your stateroom so you can unpack and don your cruise attire first!

Guest Services

Quickly have any of your questions answered or requests addressed as you will have a dedicated phone and line at Guest Services.

Dining Reservations

Priority Main Dining Room and Specialty Restaurant reservations

Tender Priority

You will have priority tender from ship to shore (multiple departure times may be possible) so you can explore ashore as quickly as you want to.

Debarkation Choices

We are always sad to see you go. But when your cruise is over, you may choose an early or late disembarkation time upon arrival to your homeport.

Things to Remember

§ The FTTF price is not per person. One ticket per cabin. The $49.95 price covers all occupants of the cabin so only 1 guest needs to purchase but all occupants receive the benefits.

§ After purchasing FTTF package, remind guests to re-print their boarding pass and luggage tags so the Faster to Fun stamp reflects on their documents.

§ FTTF can only be purchased pre-cruise on Carnival.com; no al a carte services can be purchased onboard.

§ The embarkation process typically begins at approximately 11:00am. FTTF guests may arrive at the terminal at that time or any time thereafter.

A Few Facts on Faster to the Fun!

§ Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members and Suite guests will be the only guests to have access to the Priority Check-In Lounge at embarkation, just as they are today. FTTF guests will not have this benefit, so embarkation will not be impacted in the Priority Check-In Lounge.

§ Similar to airlines boarding first class and then elite frequent flyers, etc., we will start with Diamond, Platinum VIFP Club members and Suite guests when embarkation begins. Then we will board FTTF guests.

§ The number of people who may purchase FTTF will be capacity controlled based upon the number of Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members booked for the sailing. If a sailing has a significant number of Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members, then we won’t plan to sell many FTTF packages. Conversely, if there are very few Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members on a particular sailing, then we will be able to sell a few more FTTF packages.

In a Nutshell:

§ Early embarkation and choice of early or late debarkation: FTTF gets this after Platinum and Diamond guests and those in Suites.

§ Priority Tender: FTTF gets this after Platinum and Diamond guests.

§ Early Stateroom and Express Luggage Delivery – Platinum and Diamond guests and FTTF all get this benefit. This is a new benefit for Platinum and Diamond guests!

§ Priority Dinner Seating – FTTF gets cleared after Platinum guests; Diamond guests are guaranteed their dining preference.

We are cruising in March 2015 and wondered how soon after booking your cruise can you purchase FTTF? I have booked and can not get any excursions to come up on Carnival.com. How soon can you make this type purchases?

Just back tonight from Valor and used it! I think it was worth it. Also if you need to visit the pursers desk, you do not wait in line. You can go to a special walk up spot and not wait in long lines if you have questions!

We also used FTTF on the Valor, on the first cruise it was offered. Boarding was very quick. We had to use the Guest Relations desk a few times and it was nice to go to the Platinum side and just walk right up to the desk and be helped. We are now booked on the Pride for 2015 on a cruise that has a tender port and plan on trying to get it again. We felt it was worth the money.

You need to purchase one for each cabin.

** A reminder that if you purchase ship's shorex, the priority does not kick in, you have to disembark with your groups. I'd like to know if anyone has been successful getting off with your FTTF, then joining a ship's tour rather than waiting after getting your group's colour tag.

Thanks - Shar

I don't know your tour situation, but FTTF only gets you priority tender off the ship.

Not priority off the ship at every port.

If you're talking about a tender port, I don't know why you couldn't get off the ship before your tour and then try to find the group at the port.

I'd just be worried I wouldn't be able to find my group.

Yes, we did in Grand Cayman last month. Got over to the port, looked around a bit and then found the people holding up the signs for our excursion.

If you arrive after boarding, is it still worth it to have FTTF? Is there a special line to bypass the masses if you arrive after everyone? I'm hoping it will save us time waiting in long lines to get aboard.

Count us in that group too. Feb. 2015 cruise, and looking every day to be able to book some shore excursions, or maybe FTTF if is available. Carnival must be renegotiating all of their contracts with shore excursion companies. As for the FTTF, I only wonder if they plan to either offer more, or offer less and charge more. Time will tell.
