Question about free cruise from the casino

I recieved a free cruise from the casino while on my last cruise in December. I've got the free cruise booked for later this month. Does anyone know if you get any "freebies" right off the bat? Drinks on us card? Match play? Casino cash? Strawberries? Steakhouse? etc.

Thanks

No you do not, you get the cruise and that is all....your starting fresh when you board and you will have to earn all those things again. The premier casino cruises you do get all those things from day 1. Have a great time!

I think it depends on how many points you got on your last sailing. Martin has told me in the past that if you get 5,000 points on your previous sailing that you qualify for the drink card from the beginning. I have had to argue with the people on the general number, but when he was made aware of the situation, it was corrected.

Was that on a free casino cruise? Regardless of how many points I made on the previous cruise, Ocean Club told me, "No other comps. The free cruise is your comp."

Sailed on Splendor on 2/13 and earned the free drinks card on the second day. Listening to rumors I heard that your points carry over to the next cruise...I had LOT of points!

Came home and booked the 3/17 cruise, not because of potential points but because the NY weather was horrible! On board was told that points do not carry over..Oh well. I earned the free drinks again on that one.

Now I'm told I'm eligible for a free cruise promotion....so I guess there are some perks that do "carry over." I'll buy my own drinks...a free cruise is fine for me!!

I am going on my free cruise in June. I called the Players Club and was told I will get the free drinks card...but that will be it...no other free stuff.

That was on a free cruise I received last September. I have found that emailing with Martin was the key to getting that card on the front end.

That is correct. I got through to the players club and they checked my previous balance which if over 5000 they will have the drinks on us card available at the casino cage on the first day. I'm glad I called and asked for it.

Intruder here...may I ask, how much do you have to lose...err...bet :) at the casino in order to win free cruises? How does the system work? And are these free cruises offered by the cruise line or land-based casinos -- I've heard of both...

If these questions are all answered on a cruise line website or another thread on CC, please direct me there and I will read all about it. Don't mean to hijack your thread...

Slot play is how u get the points, unless your playing blackjack or table games at $40 per hand for 4 hours , that's how

Table games are rated . One pull , pulling $2 is one point. At 1500 points y get the free drinks in us card, at 5000 points u get invited back by the casino for a free cruise, the casino host

Will

Come to u with an award letter while u are onboard, casino points do not carry over from cruise to cruise .

I had a letter from the casino host for discounts on my next cruise plus casino cash but since my next cruise ended up being a Premier Casino Cruise the perks I earned from my previous past play were cancelled.

This is not correct. 1 point is equal to $2.50 coin in (your money or won credits). You do qualify for the On Us card when you reach 1500 points but you usually have to go to the casino cage to get it unless there happens to be a casino host standing right there.

At 5000 points you qualify for the On Us card on day one of your next cruise, and you will probably get a letter from the casino host on the last day/evening BUT it's rarely for a free cruise. My last letter was just giving me 25% off a cruise fare and $75 casino cash. But because my next cruise was a Premier Casino Cruise when I called they said that letter was void and I would only get the comps of the casino cruise which was great since they were a lot better than what the letter was giving me.

Sometimes my letter has just been to remind me to call the Players Club with a certain code prior to my next cruise.

A pp asked how much I had to lose to get to these levels.......it really all depends on how loose the slots are on that particular cruise. I usually bring $50 to $75 per day to play with. On a B2B on the Breeze last year the slots were really tight and I didn't even get to 1500 points until the last day of the cruise, but then I went on that evening to win enough to not only pay off our Cheers program for the 1st leg but to pay for the Cheers program on the 2nd leg........When I cashed out that night I spoke to the casino host about how I had just gotten the On Us card and she said to see her after the casino opened on embarkation day and she would go ahead and give me a new one.

I leave in 37 days for my 4th free cruise within the past year, so im pretty sure I know what im talking about.

Thanks for the info! I've always wondered how that worked, and you've cleared up my questions.

This wasn't true in my case. On both cruises we received free from the casino last year, our Drink on Us cards were in the room waiting when we arrived. We also received a gift and some chocolate covered strawberries on the first night from the casino host.

  • 3 weeks later...

I will be cruising June 2014 and will let you know how my situation turns out...I have a free cruise..and was told I would also receive casino cash (500.00) in addition...finding this too good to be true. I can tell you that I was on a cruise just last month, same ship (dream) free drink card in my room when I arrived, 500.00 casino cash and a gift in my room everyday (wine, strawberries, cookies, etc) last day free cruise which I'm taking June.

This is my 2nd free cruise in a year

I am a member of the Players Club for Carnival, Princess and NCL. I am sailing on my free cruise this year. What is a "Premier Casino Cruise"?

From what I remember, we did get the free drink card on the Epic at embarkation, it was waiting for us in our rooms, for both my husband and myself.

Can you give me Martin's email to ask him?

Thank you,

Stefani
