We went to Atlantis using Comfort Suites, which we paid for with points. There were no extra fees once we checked in though I think this depends on your credit card (we have Chase Sapphire)

Did you use Chase Sapphire points or Comfort Suites points?

Comfort Suites gives FULL access to Atlantis. The ships tour is only the dig...and maybe the beach - No water park etc.

Without either you can basically roam the inside of the hotel lobby and the casino. Thats it.

Remember, Atlantis is CASHLESS!

If you are going in Sept check the Atlantis site for specials. We are staying a week this Oct @ $99/nt.

All of the ships offer the aqua adventure day pass accessing everything - last November it cost less than buying the full access pass at Atlantis, and included transportation.

taxi to Atlantis was $5 per person each way. Using our Chase Sapphire points and booking Comfort Suites cost us no cash and gave us full access to Atlantis, waterpark, aquariums etc. It worked out perfectly, we checked in, basically checked back out and went to Atlantis to pick up our wristbands. It was more convenient actually than Majestic because we got our wristbands at the Dig instead of having to walk back to the Beach towers.

Wow, thanks for the tip. It never occurred to me to use points for this and I can do it on my mastercard!!!! It takes a pile of points, but oh well, it saves a pile of cash.

What would our options be if we are a group of 7 adults and want to book a room at Comfort Suites to be able to use the Atlantis facilities?

Sent from my SGH-M919 using Forums mobile app

I booked Comfort Suites and we were also a party of 7, we had to book 2 rooms. They only allow 4 wristbands per room.

Just got off the Getaway and was at Atlantis 9/12/14. Our itinerary was 12-6pm but got in a little early. We did the Comfort Suites Resort for the day and it was $299 for 2 Adults and 1 Child with full access to Atlantis but I know the prices vary by dates. We took a water taxi which is $4/PP one-way ($6/PP Round Trip). It was still a 10 minute walk to the resort and Comfort Suite is right next door. It can be hot so you might want to think about a taxi as they are $4/PP one-way and get there in a few minutes plus they drop you off at the door. It rained and by the time it let up we only had a couple hours to play around. Still had a lot of fun and wished I had more time. You definitely need at least 6 hours to explore the resort. We never saw the beach, blazed through the aquarium and digs, scarfed down some pizza (Pizza by the slice, Hot Dogs and Burgers go about $6 and water is $3.50) went down the big pyramid slide and hit the wave and rapids river. My 7 year old son wouldn't leave the river so we did it about 4 times including the slides on the river.

We hurried back to Comfort Suites to shower and change clothes. We got a taxi back as I didn't want to hike to the water taxi. I think this is a resort you need to stay at to enjoy everything. So figure out what you want to do and do that...don't try to do everything. Lockers are all day access and start at $9 for small locker, $11 for medium locker and I think $15 for large locker. They seemed safe. You have to use credit card. If you don't return your key before they close you get charged $50. You have to be at least 48" tall to do the slides and they are strict.

We have successfully booked the Comfort Suites twice to acquire 4 free day passes to the Atlantis Waterpark. Once we paid for our room at the Comfort Suites with a Farmers Insurance discount code. The other time, last June, it was free when I redeemed my Choice Hotels rewards point (which I received as a free bonus for signing up for the Choice Privileges credit card).

I provided a detailed picture review of the Atlantis Dig and Waterpark in my cruise review from June. Our day at Atlantis begins at post #26 on page 2. I include lots of photos of the outdoor resort, river rapids, slides, and aquariums.
