Getting excited for our upcoming Rhine Getaway with Viking.

 

Anyone that's been on this cruise, Basel to Amsterdam, willing to share details of their Viking Dailies?

 

Would really help our planning.

When are you going on the Basel to Amsterdam Rhine Getaway? We're leave on July 11th. Have you learned anything on CC that would be worthwhile sharing?

The dailies were very useful determining what we might want to do when. We are going to eat lunch off the ship in both Strasbour and Cologne, not wasting "free time" going back and forth to the ship.

 

Other than that, can't think of much else. Pace yourself food and drink-wise.

Thinking of doing this River Cruise-April 2015 so subscribing to get info. So excited to even just be thinking about a River cruise.

SoccerMom - Better think fast. April 2015 is less than a year away and river cruises tend to sell out much further in advance than ocean cruises. Many itineraries are already sold out for much of 2015. The Rhine Getaway is very popular, so if you have dates in mind, best advice would be to book asap.

We booked our River Cruises over 12 months in advance and couldn't get the cabins that we wanted. Don't leave it too long.
