During the drill, I was kind of "pushed" back by passengers in front of me at our life boat, and I rubbed up against a huge wench that had grease on it. I got it on my sweater, and was really bummed about it.

Funny you said that. I got grease on my shorts during muster drill 2 weeks ago.

Too funny!! :D

How "huge" was she?

If there was grease involved, she must have just came from the kitchen, which of course would make her a "serving" wench! ;)

Alright, alright. Very funny. A divit then. You know, the big spool of cable found near the life boats? (Perhaps the term "winch" is used more often in smaller sailing vessels?) :)

Sorry to hear you got grease on your shorts. If only I had been more quick to post...

Have a good one, everybody!

Anyone knows if the Muster drill is before or after sail away? At what time? :D

Having been there -done that many times,we have devised a strategy. Go to the muster station early. Go to the back of the room, lounge, casino, etc and be the last to leave. By the time you get to the lifeboats the drill is frequently over or at worst, you're in front and not near those greasy wenches. You also are the first to leave and can start enjoying the cruise.
