Flight time after arriving in Miami

We will be on the Pearl docking at 9 AM on Friday Oct 17th. I have two choices on AA out of Miami non-stop to Boston. One at 12:30 and the other at 3:30. Which one should I book?

You appear to be docking a bit later than normal - most are more like 8am. And, you are arriving on Friday, so you might be the only ship in port that day vs the much crazier saturday and sunday schedule.

 

You should be able to get off in the 9:30 range okay. Assumes you do your own carry off and grab a cab vs transfers. $25 and 15-20 minutes to airport.

 

12:30 should be just fine. But, there is always the chance of some delay.

Book the 3:30 flight and take the excursion to the Air Boat and Gator Park, they'll take you from the ship and drop you off at the airport!! Its a great excursion. :D

Either should be fine but recognize that any delay and the 12:30 maybe in trouble.

We had a 12:30 flight out of Miami in January and made it with plenty of time. Not saying it's guaranteed, but it was fine for us.

In May, We walked off at 9am, grabbed a taxi &we were at MIA by 9:30. Customs was easy & no waiting for a taxi at all. The frustrating part was getting through security at the airport---we waited in a line for about 45 minutes. We had a noon flight so no trouble, but it did seem like every security line was backed-up.

Book the later one and if you get to airport early try to go stand-by on the earlier one.
