Instead of taking the ship's tour you can take a cab to Rowe's Wharf Water Taxi at the Boston Harbor Hotel, buy a water taxi transfer to Logan Airport for $10/pp, and store your luggage for free. Then you can walk over to Faneuil Hall and explore that area of Boston which could include part of the Freedom Trail. What time does your flight leave?

 

If you take the water taxi you would have to be able to roll your luggage to the free shuttle bus to the Logan terminals.

I am attempting to arrange for a flight out of Logan in April. If my ship arrives at the cruise terminal at 0600, and I do the "self assist" option with regards to my luggage, should I be able to make a 0930 flight without much stress?

Agreed! We were delayed clearing customs for 2.0 hours during one cruise. So, I think that it would be wise to select a later flight.
