Haven't flown Air Asia yet,but have flown with Scoot from Gold Coast direct to Singapore.

They are very good...we went economy on the way up (day flight) and Business on return (night).

Payed $160 up and $350 back.

Seat review.

9 flights with Air Asia to date, and have nothing but praise based upon the total deal... As with all budget airlines, you are charged extra for luggage, meals drinks etc, but they are not rip-off prices, and better food than many mainstream airlines IOHO.

Only prob may be is that most of Asia will require change at KL. Depends where you are flying from, and when you book, but sometimes Jetstar is a better option

We fly from MEL most times, so not sure of Scoot.

Have flown from Perth Air Asia to KL - like them very much. Don't suppose that's much use to you - but no complaints about Air Asia. Done Jetstar, and Tiger - both ok - but again from Perth.

The best value deal is Business with Jetstar . Flights SYD or MEL to SIN .

Next pick would be Singapore Airlines whose Economy seat spacing is more generous than QF, and SIA offers promotional Economy fares . Flights ex SYD or MEL .

We flew back from Singapore in March with Flyscoot business class. Cheap one way fare and we had no problem sleeping in the chairs (comfortable enough) so the flight went really fast. Would definitely use them again. We were well looked after in business class on this low cost airline.

Shop around the bigger airlines. My husband managed to get want as flights for our Syd to Singapore trip through want as and it worked out only about $50 more than doing scoot air and adding all the bits n pieces on. Want as is one fare not hassle. Keep shopping.

We flew Air Asia to Singapore - we did have to go to KL both there and back -.which added an extra 4 hours to the trip. Whole cost return was less than $400. We normally fly QANTAS, Thai or Hawaiian and Air Asia was honestly just as good. Comfy seats to. If u book early enough, Singapore Airlines flights can come in under $1000. :)
