Lots of color off I 93 north out of Boston Mass .

 

Some in Bar Harbor Maine too !

 

Just came back down from Ogunquit. There's more color along the highways in MA then in Maine! Ogunquit has hardly any color along Route 1 or the immediate coastline. Perhaps inland it's changing in Maine but not on Route 1 between York and in Ogunquit. :cool:

It was crazy hot for this time of year today in New England. Almost 90 in some places but by tomorrow evening it will be back to the 60s. This time of year is so changeable around here.

 

I'm running the Maine Marathon in Portland next Sunday and hoping for nice cool temps and nice foliage along the route.

When's the best time to go? We normally cruise to the carribean/Bahamas in November for some sun.

It depends on where you are going. The New Hampshire mountain usually are peak between the first and second week in October. But it takes another week or so to see peak color in the southern part of the state. I live in southern New Hampshire and there is very little color right now. Parts of Maine and Canada may be starting to see some color.

Good thing about cruising to Canada in October, besides the Fall colours, is that you might get a second Thanksgiving. :)
