LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #151 Share Posted September 24, 2014 And around us... and dessert... Nana's sugar-free Cheesecake... And look what awaited us when we returned to the cabin Nana fell asleep. And Sheryl was pooped, too, so she went to sleep... Hey, it's only 9:00. What's up with this??? So I headed down to the Theatre and you've already heard about the Love and Marriage show in my first post!! It was so silly and entertaining and WONDERFUL!!! Then walking around, listening to Comedy and music and about midnight, it was time for me to head upstairs... I had a craving for french fries... but nothing is open to satisfy that craving. And room service only offers chips... DARN!!! I'll just have to starve... yeah, starve... on a cruise ship... Yes, I know, there is always PIZZA and ICE CREAM 24/7 -- but I wanted french fries!!! NO PROBLEM, there's always tomorrow!!!

LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #153 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Oh, your ship pictures are just AMAZING. I don't think we will ever get to cruise on the Magic, but I feel almost like I was on her already! THANK YOU for sharing. LOVE the lights in the promenade area of the gift shops. And your own special tour of the lifeboats too! I am impressed! :p I hate to open a can of worms, but it "upsets" me a bit that they have the arcades for the "kids" on the ships. I guess it's just like the casino for adults where they just want to have fun () but I see this generation constantly with all the electronic things and wish they could last a week without them and discover something else. :rolleyes:Just MHO. I am SO ENJOYING this review and wish you and Nana many many more cruises. BE CALM AND REVIEW ON! :p:D I'm glad you're still reading and looking in... I understand about comment. You're right about it being like their casino -- and with that on Deck 4, it's hidden in it's own way -- but if the kiddos attend Camp Carnival -- it's just a door way away! I didn't gamble, either BINGO or Casino on this cruise, and sometimes I do. It can get expensive and time consuming... IMHO... But I had a BLAST!!! I can people watch forever and obviously I love to watch the horizon go by... I'm glad you feel like you are getting to know the MAGIC. She's a great ship! OK... I'll keep reviewing on... LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #154 Share Posted September 24, 2014 I can't wait to try the tandoori next trip. that looks fantastic! You will TRULY love it!!! :) The fish and chicken is a bit spicy -- but not to a Texan. It has the curry undernote, and a true fresh flavor!!! It stays juicy and moist and just is wonderful!!! The Naan has a hint of sweetness and it's served warm. If you get to the counter and there is no naan, he'll cook it up fresh for you! Just ask!!! The lentils, dal, salads, tomatoes and feta, everything is DELICIOUS!!! It's not too busy. Hardly ever a line. I have to remember to write to Carnival and compliment Tandoor everytime I can!! I'm afraid that it will be replaced by an upgrade and Indian food will just be a one day on the buffet thing... Since MAGIC has no Guy's or Blue Iguana Tequila Bar... I don't want Tandoor to become one of these...
LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #155 Share Posted September 24, 2014 The first two Sea Days always seem to just go slowly and smoothly and relaxing -- but once the port days happen, the cruise starts moving fast! We're at our last port... and it's Friday... they kick us off on Sunday morning... I DON'T WANT IT TO END!!!! But, the world keeps spinning and the sun keeps rising and it's time to see Cozumel!!! But first, let's see what the outside deck shows us!!! There's a cloud bank right on the horizon, so we'll see the sun rise over the clouds... and here it is... LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #156 Share Posted September 24, 2014 we can see a couple Royal ships already at port...
LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #157 Share Posted September 24, 2014 and the Pilot boat coming for us! He'll hop off the Pilot Boat and onto the Magic and head straight up to the bridge to bring the ship in. Nana is still there... I see another boat coming out to meet us... Let me zoom in... You can see there's a breeze and some tossing of a small boat... She goes all the way forward, and around us...
LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #158 Share Posted September 24, 2014 and heads back to port. I think she makes sure, no one is shadowing behind us trying to get into port unnoticed... We see a close up of the Royal... And the new pier Carnival is building so Puerta Maya can handle more Carnival ships. Now, let's get dressed and since it's a shopping day -- we're heading to the Lido Deck for breakfast! I go to the outside grill, by the beach pool for French toast... Also, this line is sometimes shorter for an omelet! Then I turn and see them... YIPPIE!! Towel animals took over the Lido Deck!!!
LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #159 Share Posted September 24, 2014 After breakfast, Nana and I check them out and Wingie heads off to shop, knowing we'll meet her at 10:30 by the "Guns" photo opp area. After you come out of the Dufry Store, turn left and you see them! But back to towel animals...

LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #161 Share Posted September 24, 2014 and help me with this one... An eagle's beak, or Jimmy Durante and Danny Thomas... on a bear's body??? Nana trying to make it back to the cabin... It's a tight squeeze -- but she can make it... Now, we're off the ship and walking/rolling down the pier... Here's the new building going on... LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #162 Share Posted September 24, 2014 We don't walk through the store... We go through the Crew entrance, along side the shop, and it's allowed because of Nana and her wheelchair. When there's a crowd inside, it's so difficult to maneuver! We start shopping. It's only 10am -- so we have 30 minutes before we meet Wingie. Outside...

LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #166 Share Posted September 24, 2014 and outside Los Cinco Soles they've changed this area. I ask Nana to turn around... Wingie through the drops of the fountain...
LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #167 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Over to the beach area... Wingie poses in front of her favorite ships... And me in front of mine! She loves turtles... so one pose -- but it's metal and she says it HOT!!! Caliente, mouy caliente... I don't speak Spanish, so you'll just assume I spelled that right!!! LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #168 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Maybe a respite at Fat Tuesdays... And back on board for some lunch and FUN in the sun... Look who we found on the TV... The Lido Cam channel... There's wingie, setting up her chair for the afternoon! And a dip in the pool for cooling down... We've arranged to meet after I change to slide... SO I head up to the Serenity Deck... and take a dip and relax in the hot tub... NO ONE else is there and just float on the surface and let the bubbles massage my back. OH ME OH MY!!! It's like a treat!!! Then we slide about an hour... up the stairs, WHEEEEE down the slide, and back up the stairs... Only about 5 people in line ahead of us, it's hardly a wait at all!!! I head back to the cabin. Nana and I shower and change, Wingie comes back to shower and change... And guess what???? It's time to eat again!!! Wingie has on her new dress from Cozumel.. Nana and I have on our matching Mexican embroidered dresses.
LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #169 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Nana has sugar free pumpkin pie... and NO, it's not good if you're expecting pumpkin pie -- but a sweet treat after dinner -- yes! She ate every bite and loved it! Raspberry, chocolate... Mmmmmmm And dancing again... These are all our waiters... Catherine, Sandro, and Fritz... and Sheryl watching the dancers downtstairs... LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #170 Share Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) Nana wanted a potty stop on the way back to the Cabin... I got creative in the hand dryer... And then back to the cabin... YIPPEE, look who's waiting for us... Wingie loves this... And strikes a pose with her new dress and earrings and ring... springs741 Posted September 24, 2014 #171 Share Posted September 24, 2014 LambKnuckles I always enjoy your reviews. Thanks again for another excellent exciting recounting of your adventure. We sail the Magic in a few days. This will be our third trip on her. I am so happy to hear all the good things you had to say about your time on the Magic. Our first time in 2012 was awesome. Our 2013 trip not so great. Looking forward to saying that trip number 3 was the best yet. I laughed when I say the photos of the man that got left behind. NOT because he was left but for all the people that have posted here and on FB "oh the ship won't leave you. They just say that so you will a)be back on time or b) so you will book excursion thru Carnival" You give proof that the ship will sail without you. I have seen many many pier runners in my cruises but not witnessed someone left. I hope you and your dear Mother have many more happy cruises. My first cruise on Magic was last Halloween, 2013. I fell in love with it -- because of the Lido deck cabin for handicap accessible. But not so much the Cruise Director or shows, or activities. But this cruise was relaxing and fun! And I love Skip!!! If he's there when you cruise -- please say Hello from Lambie and tell him how much fun I had on his ship! And you're right about the ship leaving! It DOES HAPPEN!!! How do they say it... "SHIP HAPPENS!!!" ;)
LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #173 Share Posted September 24, 2014 I have a bit more time right now, let's see if we can finish Cozumel! The Mexican Fiesta would start at 10pm and the Mexican Buffet at 11pm. Our waiters told us to go out about 10 and we could take photos of the buffet -- so we headed passed the Beach Pool area of the Fiesta... And through the doors, to the buffet. You were not allowed to enter the buffet area, unless you only wanted to take photos... Here's the dessert side -- the MOST IMPORTANT side!!! LambKnuckles Posted September 24, 2014 Author #174 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Both ends of the buffet match, so there will easy access when it opens! Now for more close ups and decorations... Altho' this looks like a slice... It's a WHOLE CAKE!!! And if you don't like triangle cake -- there's always round...
