Mlife and C&A benefits - can they mix?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I recently discovered that there are cruising benefits for Mlife members. They are great - free tours, dinners, drinks, oh my! Has anyone been able to combine these with C&A benefits during a cruise?

Thanks!

In my experience if you already are a C & A tier member you cannot combine the M-life tier benefits on board. I asked C & A prior to one cruse and was told that the M-life benefits are for non-C & A members to entice the M-life members to cruise RCI (and gamble). Once on board I went to the Casino Manager to check and I was not on any list members with available benefits.

In a reciprocal manner I was told that my C & A tier would give me benefits in Vegas as I was not a previous M-life member there.

Be interested to see if any one else can confirm or contradict my experience with theirs.

I may be wrong but it's my understanding that you can combine your Crown & Anchor benefits (such as Diamond benefits) with the Mlife benefits while onboard, but cannot combine the Club Royale benefits with the Mlife benefits on the sailing.

Can you explain the difference?

After my C & A conversation it was suggested by them that I should try on board to see what may be available to me. I presented my M-life number to the Casino Manager on board and he said that there were no benefits - not even drink coupons - that I could use with my C & A benefits.

Unfortunately - at least in my case - that supported the conversation I had with C & A. This was just after the announcement of the RCI / M-life program so maybe - as frequently is the case - the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.

Sorry - just reread your post and answered my own question. And that makes sense regarding those not being able to be combined.

But again, they would not allow me to combine my C & A benefits with any of the M-life ones on board.

Agreed

We asked Casino Manager and being members of both, the perks for Casino Royale out weighed MlIfe.

We had the option to be rated by either and chose to stick with royale.

IMO do not see the benefit of combining.

But obviously if you are not VIP the MLife is the way to get rated and use the perks they offer.

Happy Days!

I agree...not combinable. I have call C&A and MLife. Being gold MLife and diamond on Royal I was told one or the other. I am hoping that we can bring our MLife card on board and they give us something, bug not really expecting anything.

Here are the MLIfe perks

Everything we would get for Platinum, we already get as VIP members.

Happy Days!

I took my MLife card with me on my cruise earlier this month, and boy, am I glad that I did!!!!!!!!!

When I got into my cabin on the Enchantment of the Seas, I discovered that my safe - which was tan, by the way - did NOT have a numeric keypad, but a channel where you swipe a card that has a magnetic stripe.

Thank goodness I had my MLife card, which conveniently has a magnetic stripe! ;) ;) ;) :D :D

My husband and I are Diamond members who recently signed up for our MGM mLife perks. I found the number for Casino Royale to get our mlife numbers added to our booking:

Call Royal Caribbean’s dedicated M Life number, (800) 762-0702, and they will apply a code to your reservation which allows onboard staff to identify you as an M Life member.

I was told that it won't combine with our balcony discount but that seems to be the only limitation.

Doesn't hurt to call and see what they say.

In our experience, D plus members get relatively few perks with M life, at an M life property. We basically got to the front of the line at the restaurant, and got a small discount at one of the retail shops.

We were on a junket and did not pay for our room so we did not utilize the small room rate discount. We were not given the listed room upgrade benefit and were just given a standard room ( with basic view). We were told that even as an M life platinum member, we would not qualify for many of the standard M life benefits, as those are awarded because of significant play.

Seems that M life players get many more benefits on a cruise then upper tier cruise passengers (not club royale) get with M life.
