QUESTION: Emerald Princess Self Laundry Payment

Having spent 10 minutes searching, I'm hopeful someone has very recent experience/knowledge to share.

 

On the Emerald Princess what is the payment method in the self-serve launderettes? Coins or cruise card?

Not sure about the Emerald but all of the ships are converting to dispensers which provide tokens for the washer & dryers & charged directly to your account.

As of August the Emerald was still using quarters.

Tokens or coins (depending on whether they've switched), but definitely not your cruise card.

If it's quarters, you can get them from Guest Services. EM

Did they install the new token/cruise card charge in Royal and Regal?

 

We usually take a roll of quarters to save the trip to Pax Service Desk but it would be nice to not need to do that when on the Regal in Dec!

 

And, that also means my laundry costs get me double points on my Princess Visa card--lol :D

As of end of September, it was still coins on the Emerald ....and coins for the laundry detergent. We were able to get quarters at the passenger services desk.
