transport from MIA Car rental to POM

Hi All,

 

Before cruising out of POM, we decided to get a rental car to get around the town. We will drop it off at airport before our cruise departure. Is there shuttle service provided by rental car company to take me back to POM? If not, what is the most economic way to get back to the port from car rental? taxi, shuttle?

Renting from National, Alamo, or Thrifty (and maybe Enterprise) - they offer a free shuttle to POM.

 

Otherwise head back to the taxi line near baggage claim and catch a cab - flat rate fare of $24+tip per cab (not per person).

Do you happen to know if Hertz offers free shuttle to/from POM?

Hertz is not picking up the dang phone, I'll probably just switch to one of the above you mentioned...

Hertz does not shuttle to/from the Miami airport location. Hertz shuttles to the downtown location only.

 

If renting and dropping off at the airport, stick with Alamo, Thrifty, or National. I also recently read a post on another thread that said Dollar has shuttles to/from the Miami airport location as well. This would make sense as Dollar and Thrifty are part of the same corporation (Dollar Thrifty Group).

Hertz said they offer a shuttle if you drop off at their Miami Gardens 2nd street location.

Hertz said they offer a shuttle if you drop off at their Miami Gardens 2nd street location.

 

That 2nd street location is often overwhelmed with cruisers - expect long lines and slow service based upon recent reviews.
