klass2 Posted November 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2014 Thanks for the great tip I have read here about turning the couch around to use as sort of bed rails for a child. We are sailing the Allure of the Seas shortly and was wondering if the couches turn on that ship? We sailed the Allure in September but were without kids. This time we will have our kids with us. I'm debating bringing our pack and play for my 19 month old or just turning the couch. If it makes any difference we will be in a D2 room. Thanks in advance. ducklite Posted November 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2014 You might also want to ask if there are bed rail available. I know on some lines they provide those mesh bed rails that tuck between the mattress and frame to keep little ones from sliding off. I think it would be a pain to lose the seating the sofa provides during the day, and make it much more difficult on the steward to make up the room. cb at sea Posted November 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2014 They will provide a P&P, if you request it...no need to lug one. That's what I'd do....
cathys75 Posted November 27, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2014 I'm just bringing our pack n play for our 21 month old. There's no way she would sleep on a couch. She won' t even sleep in bed with me (unlike her big brother!). Good luck!
Ashland Posted November 27, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2014 Really no need to bring your own pack-n-play as the ones on RCI ships are just like your's at home...however do bring your own fitted sheet.

Reserve a pack-n-play with your reservation...that way you are guaranteed one and then it will be up to you if you use it or the sofa turn around method...Also do bring your own fitted sheet and your toddlers favorite blanket for the P&P. usckatieh Posted December 15, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 15, 2014 I turned the couch around on the Freedom and it worked great! It was an ocean view room. I can't remember if the Allure couch is the same but it worked great for our 3 yr old!
