For your convenience the following gratuities are automatically added to your shipboard account. For guests occupying staterooms, gratuities of $15.00 per guest, per day will be added. For guests occupying Penthouse, Oceania, Vista or Owner's Suites where Butler Service is provided, gratuities of $22.00 per guest, per day will be added. For sailings beginning with the 2015-16 Winter season: How much you choose to tip is a personal matter and completely at your discretion. For your convenience the following gratuities are automatically added to your shipboard account. For guests occupying staterooms, gratuities of $16.00 per guest, per day will be added. For guests occupying Penthouse, Oceania, Vista or Owner's Suites where Butler Service is provided, gratuities of $23.00 per guest, per day will be added. StanandJim Posted December 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2014 Not to pick too fine a Nit, what you have listed there is how the prepaid gratuities are charged, not what they cover. As a general rule, one may consider that prepaid gratuities are split between the staff that services the staterooms and the waitstaff in the various restaurants. A service fee of 18% is added to each bar tab, which more or less prevents teetotalers from tipping staff with whom they don't have contact.
