...At 8:30 this evening, I received an e-mail from Princess with the following message:

IMPORTANT NOTICES
CROWN PRINCESS - EMBARKATION INFORMATION
Please be advised that Crown Princess will berth at Pier 92 and not Pier 93 on Satuday, January 3, 2015, as previously communicated. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused, and look forward to welcoming you aboard Crown Princess.
Interesting that your e-mail was marked "IMPORTANT", but staggered boarding warrants "EMERGENCY"...

Thanks for following up with the post! Edited by Ryndam2002
That's what did recently & if you max out your liquor allotment on the first trip who's to know on the subsequent cruise?:D
Many advantages to driving. ;)
I had a really funny experience with this. For the second leg,
I had a suitcase in the car with some soda, so I checked it in
the morning to be sent on board.

By the afternoon, it had arrived at my cabin. I emptied the suitcase,
and carried it back to my car.

When I came back to the ship from the car, one of the shore
staff starts yelling at me about bringing something outside.
That it is a violation of CBP rules for in-transit passengers to
bring anything off the ship.

First, she was yelling at me on my way back to the ship.
I no longer even had the suitcase. If it was a problem, she
should have accosted me on the way out, and had me return
the suitcase to the ship.

Second, when I first disembarked in the morning, I went out with
the walkoff people, and had a big rolling camera case with me.
No one knew I was not in the walkoff group, and I could have brough
anything I wished.

Whatever the CBP rules are, this woman was ineffectual at enforcing
them.

On a B2B prior to me removing articles off the ship I specifically asked them about taking things to my car & was told that I should file a decorations card even as an in-transit passenger. I specifically told them that I wanted to remove my liquor and things I didn't need on the second voyage. They didn't have any problem with my removing anything even though Princess always has said you shouldn't take any luggage with you during the group walk off. (why??....I don't really know).
On our recent B2B2B I decided to test their rules & got off both trips to remove items, filing a decorations form each time & left the ship just prior to the in-transit people. I never mentioned that I was an in-transit passenger and they didn't ask till I returned to the ship, so why bother mentioning it?
On returning to the ship with my suit case filled with soda & wine, I just flashed the in-transit card, cruise card & when right though.

The moral of the story is don't volunteer information not specifically asked for. ;)

I do need to say the Trojans have that saying wrong:

A Bruin for four years...OJ got life.:D And yes, I went to both football and b-ball games (I was there when John Wooden retired) and was in Rally Com.
Me too!!! on all accounts. Although, I did not go to many baseball games.
I've never been concerned about which berth as there's the sign by the guard booth before you drive up to the where the ships are docked. It would be good to know if your ship will be at that southern 46 one (hopefully the shuttle will take passengers between there and the parking lot) or even ending up at the Carnival berth for a port day. But 91, 92, 93...I wouldn't be concerned until you're driving toward your ship in the World Cruise Center.

Patty, You know me, any time you put b-ball baseball is my first thought!!!
