swansnz Posted December 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2014 I’m going on a HAL Asia cruise next month, and ordered some US dollars to use for tipping etc. I did ask my bank for small bills, but they gave me it all in $50 bills. Would I be able to change these $50 bills anywhere on board, for $1 and $5 bills?
cruz chic Posted December 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2014 Yes, you should be able to do that at the front desk.

I can bring as many as I want but it never seems to be enough;)
sail7seas Posted December 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2014 No problem. You can break large bills (U.S. $) at the Front Office.

Dobermangal Posted December 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 23, 2014 I get the casino cage to break bills for me if there is a line at the front office. Never a problem. They will even turn US coin into bills if you've got it :) Carla

In my experience the front desk won't accept ripped or marked bills Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cruz chic Posted December 23, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 23, 2014 Or casino cage (if the front desk line is too long) Good idea. That said, sometimes it's not always open earlier in the day.
