travelers cheques

I believe you can exchange them at the credit desk. Haven't seen many people using them on a cruise in years. Seems to me it would be much easier to just bring the cash along in the first place. Assuming your ATM card works, there are fees associated with using it, so it makes sense to bring the cash along, no?

Has anyone exchanged travelers checks on NCL ships? I am contemplating getting some for the tours I have to pay cash. I'm also contemplating using the ATMs on ship,Not sure if my Canadian Scotia card will work.

We have cashed American dollar Travelers checks at front desk and at casino cage on NCL Star and Sun.

I don't know if they cash them in other currencies.

I have cashed them at the Guest Services desk. However, nowadays, I bring cash in small denominations for excursion tips.

Once, in a small Mexican shop, I saw a lady trying to make a purchase with a Travelers Checque. The clerk refused it. He did allow her to pay with U.S. dollars, or a credit card.
