Rosemary222 Posted January 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2015 I'd like to get lanyards for my kids to keep their sea passes in. I understand our ship, the Indy, doesn't provide lanyards, so I thought I'd purchase a few at home. Can any of you experienced cruisers tell me what kind of lanyard I should get? That is, will the sea pass have a hole in it that I can run a cord through, or should I get a plastic cover that will hold the sea pass? Many thanks. Getting ready to take the kids on their first cruise in a few weeks, so I'm chasing down all the details to help things go more smoothly. Can't wait for the sunshine! sunshine0503 Posted January 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) We've taken our two on both the Freedom and the Allure. On both ships we asked the Adventure Ocean staff for the AO lanyards and they have given them to us and were free. They punched holes in the kids sea pass cards for us. I could have sworn we found some at the promenade shops onboard.
Rosemary222 Posted January 31, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping that Adventure Ocean would supply the lanyards gratis, but another poster commented that on Indy, you have to buy them. Just thought I could save a few dollars by picking up some inexpensive ones at home rather than buying them on the ship.
heziggy Posted January 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2015 i've picked them up at 5 below and ebay. we've done both the plastic sleeve and hole punching. i have found punching a hole to be easier. i've read you can go to the casino and they will punch a hole in it or like me you can bring one with

S.A.M.J.R. Posted January 31, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Bring some cheap ones from home. If AO gives some to you, great! If not, you're covered. Guest relations will also punch holes in the cards.
Sat1 Posted January 31, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 31, 2015 I purchased mine at an Academy sporting store, and like SAM said, Guest Relations will punch a hole at the proper end of the sea pass. Have fun.
