anewmac Posted February 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2015 We will be flying into Ft Lauderdale around noon, then driving down to Miami on Thursday. Our cruise is on Saturday from Port of Miami. With that said, looking for a couple places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also what is there to do... obviously we will take a drive/walk down Ocean Blvd and put our feet in the sand/water LOL. Is there a water taxi in Miami? We did the one in Ft Lauderdale and that was fun to see all the homes/yachts we couldnt afford LOL. thanks for any help in trying to figure out what to do!! Rare Keith1010 Posted February 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2015 I am not sure when you are arriving. If you have an interest in sports and you are in town this spring, consider going to a Miami Heat Basketball game if they are in town. What hotel will you be staying at? That would help in terms of dining recommendations. Keith
BlueHerons Posted February 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2015 Your kids will be thrilled with South Beach. You can shop, people watch, dine, go on walking tours. Where are you staying?

There's a couple of different tour boats that depart from Bayside ... they do a 'mansion' tour ... Star Island and stuff around the port
eandj Posted February 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2015 (edited) Or you could pick up the Ducks Tour in South beach. It's cheesy enough and fun for teens. FOR SURE you must spend at least one full day in South Beach. Rent the Segways and zip around the beach walk area. You can do this on your own, without any type of "guides". Its great fun.
