Pre-Ordering Wine Package

We would like to try a wine package on our upcoming cruise. When ordering online, are you able to select the wine you prefer from the package? I did not notice a place to do this, but perhaps you need to purchase before making your choices? Thanks for any help!

Unless you want the bottles to be in your room when you board, you can choose your wines in the dining room, as you want them. It's all in the computer. We always get a Navigator's package, but we have occasionally also "upgraded" to a bottle in the Admiral's package, and were just charged the difference.

Actually, we do want the bottles to be delivered to the stateroom. So, can we choose the wine online for stateroom delivery? Thanks.

Yes

Here is the current wine list (individual bottles) condensed from the HAL website (under Indulgences) that you can order online for your stateroom for Embarkation Day delivery:

If you want to buy a wine package, here is what is available:

I do not know of a way to choose wines from the Navigator or Admiral's packages online, and cannot think of a reason to do so. If you buy a package you can simply call room service and choose from the available wines. Since we are 4 Star Mariners and get 50% off the package prices we usually use the packages. But we just order the package when we go to dinner (any wine steward can handle it in the MDR) which is where we drink most of our packaged wine. We usually bring 2 bottles of wine aboard to enjoy in our cabin. If we want to bring wine (from the package) back to our cabin from dinner that is no problem. We have never ordered a package bottle from room service, but guess that is not a problem.

I should add that DW and I normally drink only half a bottle at dinner. We ask the wine steward to save the remainder of our bottle and will often have some red and white in storage. When we go to dinner we just tell our waiter (or wine steward) that we want our red or white bottle and it is quickly delivered.
