Pool towels on the Breakaway

On our last cruise on the MSC Divina, we were allowed to check out pool towels to take off the ship on our excursions. Our cruise card was swiped upon checkout and then swiped again on check in. Does NCL allow the same, or will we have to haul beach towels from home?

There are beach towels in your room for the pool or excursions. You can exchange them for fresh ones at the pool, as needed.

Beach towels are provided for use. You can take them off the ship

Not only can you take them off the ship, you can usually drop them off before boarding and at the same time grab and new one. Along with grabbing something cold to drink and a cold towel to wipe off.

In January, we didn't have beachtowels in our cabin (on the BA). We had to go to the towel exchange on the pool deck to check out towels. There was a sign in & sign out form. You can take as many as you want (within reason!).

 

On other NCL cruises, we have received one towel per person in the cabin.

It's those types of small details that I like to know prior to boarding. Knowing whether or not to pack towels from home also makes it easier to pack lightly.
