Thrak Posted March 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2015 The 2016 Alaska cruises were supposed to be available for booking at 8:00 AM PST today. They now show up on the web site but I am unable to actually see any info or book a cruise. I'm trying to book a cruisetour and the June 2016 sailings give me this message: Voyage departure date is too close to complete this booking. Please select a different departure date or contact us for assistance. I called and they have no clue what is going on and seem totally unaware of the problem. GAH!!! As someone who has worked in IT for many years it makes me totally crazy when dealing with an incompetent IT department. One would think Princess could afford professional people. Yes, the website is not showing specifics but cabins can be booked/reserved by telephone. You can work out the details later???? When I called and pressed the number for help with the website I got some ditz on the phone who had zero clue about anything. Princess has had quite a long time to prepare for this. There is no excuse for this kind of incompetence. By the time one finishes college (hopefully long before finishing) this sort of broken coding should be something one has left far behind. Italy52 Posted March 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Saw the same thing. Called Princess and made a reservation over the phone. I put the reservation on a courtesy hold (put no money down) and I am now transferring it to my TA for OBC credit. No money down made it real easy to transfer to TA.
