jennymaxgirl Posted March 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Just wondering if I should expect any more noise than an average room with this location directly beneath the pool deck? Looks as though there will probably be loungers directly above the room. Anyone have experience with noise problem from sliding chairs, music, etc.? Thanks so much, Jennifer
Pam in CA Posted March 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2015 I wouldn't book a cabin beneath public deck. Way too much noise not just from loungers being moved but power washing in the wee hours of the morning, carts being rolled from one end to the other, etc. Also, don't forget that there's no staircase midship so to go up just one deck, you'll have to wait for an elevator unless you walk to either the forward or aft stairs. Thanks Pam. Good to know. I am a light sleeper so I have already begun looking at other options. Am thinking of switching to the Aloha deck :) Jennifer
Colo Cruiser Posted March 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Moving chairs by crew and passengers could be a big issue.
AZbeachboy Posted March 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2015 I always thought that being on the Rivera Deck would be a bad thing. However, on the Crown recently. Our friends with an inside cabin said they never heard any noise.

Ready to Sail! Posted March 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 17, 2015 We once booked a cabin above the theatre on the Tahitian Princess. Our bed vibrated from the bongo drums, ect. Needless to say we learned our lesson about cabin location. Now we always book on deck with no public rooms, areas above or below.
cruzsnooze Posted March 17, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 17, 2015 You will hear them dragging and stacking chairs and other noise associated with a public deck.
