Hi Im book in mid may 2016 on both ships going to alaska pearl and Jewel.

First I am aware the the same class ship? But in pics and a few other things like a bowling alley the differ?

What else is different? Same food places??

Also on Pearl side min suite room 11608

Jewel aft 10168

Anyone been in either and care to comment

or which is better? bigger? nicer?

On you tube the rooms look better to me on jewel the Pearl

There are slight difference in itinerary, pearl goes glacier bay

Jewel goes sawyer

most people vote for glacier bay but I have not seen either before

Pearl is 500 more total for four is it worth the cost and the room lower?

any and all please give me any opinions you have, I realize both would be good but I'm trying to make this one time ever alaska cruise for my family the best I can

No help. Come on guys. Any go to alaska

Sorry....these are exactly the 2 NCL ships I have never sailed on!

I do, however, like the way you planned your trip for 2 different experiences! Sounds awesome!

Been on both ships. Liked both equally. Love aft cabin for Alaska sailing. Would choose Sawyer over Glacier Bay ONLY if excursion is offered from Juneau that meets the ship before leaving Sawyer. Thatbeing said, you will enjoy either. Alaska cruise is spectacular!

Other than the location of the gift shops and one lounge there is very little difference between the two ships. On The Jewel the shops are at the back of ship on Deck 7- much better for those needing handicap access. Where the shops would toward the front of the ship is an open space lounge.

In choosing between the two ships, my question for you would be: which is better sailing out of Seattle and returning on a Saturday (The Jewel) or sailing and returning on a Sunday (The Pearl).

Both are great ships and both itineraries are wonderful.

You will enjoy either one.
