Constellation Cabin Advice Please.

We are first time cruisers on Celebrity (previous RCCL) and are looking at the Aqua Class Cabins on the Constellation, cabin 9099 in particular. We don't mind the overhang as it will be at the hottest time in Europe and will be happy with the shade. But we are wondering about the noise or disturbance from any evening parties/events or sun bed dragging? Normally it wouldn't worry us, but we have a few 8am starts this time, so just wondered if there is a better option on deck 9?

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Juliet

We were in cabin 9099 on the Connie on the last Nov TA. Noise was definitely an issue. When the pool band is playing it can easily be heard from the cabin with the balcony door closed tight. That's not too bad during the day but when the occasional night deck party goes to midnight, you're up until the band decides to quit playing. Early morning you'll get awoken by heavy footed walkers and chair scraping. Truthfully the chair scraping wasn't so bad, but the heavy footed walkers were worse. I wouldn't book this cabin again. We also stayed in 1111 (A1 on deck 11) on a 5 day cruise. It was wonderful, quiet and very convenient to the Ocean Cafe and aft sunset bar. If you do want to book an A2, get one that is more towards the aft or farther forward where you're not under the pool deck.

We had a midships AQ hump oversized balc cabin near the one in question but we must have been right under the band area... ....the noise and vibration were excessive. We moved soon after boarding ....further forward to a much quieter cabin.

During sailaway the DJ was so noisy, heavy base, the room felt like it was vibrating overhead, and from balcony..noise from DJ, dancing, etc Then came Zumba.. The Celeb rep who came to check our complaint immed okayed a room change. Happy it worked out, never had to change a cabin before ...this would have been torture, esp for late nite deck events

if you plan to be at all the parties, no issue...otherwise I'd go further forward...it was very quiet and a smooth ride!

I don't have a deck plan handy but if you can get an Aqua cabin aft of 9108 (starboard side) or it's equivalent on the port side, you will be under the carpeted Lido. It is much quieter and still has the overhang.

We've stayed around your current cabin before, perhaps on the Connie, and did not have too much to complain about.

You might not be interested in an upgrade but the deck 11 cabins, with the exception of those nearest the doors are VERY quiet.

Thanks for your replies. I will contact my TA and enquire about either the area under the carpeted Lido or under the Solarium maybe? We are not normally complainers or the "party police", but we just hadn't considered the noise factors from the deck above, as our only other 2 cruises were deck 7 on the Liberty and Independence. We are still learning the tricks of what to look for when booking :o!!

Thanks again :)
