Recommended Posts

So fun!!!!! Can't wait to share this video with my kids.

Do you have any idea how often the Seaplex offers circus school? Do you sign up ahead of time or just queue?

Circus was on day 2 from 9-1. Day 3 from 7-9 assume pm day 7 from 9-12

Just queue up. Have to sign a waiver which I beleive is online? Not sure though.

Really enjoying your review - thanks! My son would like to see pictures of the gym. Are there any weights?

Thanks, glad you are enjoying it! I will check in the morning and report back. I am sure they have weight machines but will check on free weights.

Hey Toot! We tried and the Grant turned into a pumpkin! We need some South Florida good luck on board with us!

Thanks for checking in!

I see you are using cellular at sea, can you text someone at home with that? Just asking because I am onboard on Mother's Day and have a few people I want to text Happy Mother's Day to, don't want them to think I forgot them! Thanks for any info on cellular at sea.

You can use Cellular at Sea for texting. Check with your cell carrier for prices. I know for Verizon and AT&T, the cost is $0.50 per text sent. These are simple texts, no photo, no video, no group texting.

I am not using the cell at sea really just the unlimited wifi but as noted in the post above you can use if for a fee. I had a work call today and it worked well with clear connection as an fyi.

I am surprised to see that they now only have 4 sessions of Bumper Cars. That is far from enough for 4000 guests!! ( I noticed that they now use SeaPlex for more dance classes, which I thought is a cost-cutting thing.)

We did the same 8 nite cruise in March to Bahamas, and had 5 sessions. Long long lines each time. On Day 8, we waited for 1.5 hr for that 2 minute ride (Last day, no choice, rain and cold and no other real activities to do) The line was all the way around SeaPlex and extends to the pink bear. Many people said it was ridiculous and left. I thought they should add more time slots, not cutting it.

They keep advertising Bumper Cars and ifly for Quantum, but provides so little capacity for the activities. I feel really disappointed in RCI. I also worry about people in the shorter Asian cruises: if they don't have enough spots for ifly for 8 nite cruisers, how can they fit 4000 iflyers within 4 days??

Also, did they have that "Quest" adult game on your cruise? We had Ken Rush as the CD and we had Quest. Like it or not, it was there...

Sorry to be a downer OP. Love your review!!

Hope you enjoy another great day on Quantum tomorrow!!

I agree that capacity can overwhelm their more popular activities. I have been to the seaplex numerous times and I only saw the dance lessons once and the circus training, all other time it was open sports.

I think they need to be flexible and on colder /rainy days when no one wants to do flowrider or ifly, or wait outside for northstar, add more hours to bumper cars or more dance session etc. Another thing the dance lesson in seaplex made no sense since every time during the day we walked by, the music hall was empty and is big enough for the numbers of dancers I saw.

I do think they think they have enough activities to spread everyone out but not when it is a new activity like bumper cars and Ifly and many more want to try while it is new.

Thanks for following along!
