FLL to POM: Taxi or private transport?

I've done all the research and know the prices, but has anyone used the airport taxis and had a good experience? Seems like most use the shuttles.

 

Also, does POM have cabs for 4 adults with at least 4 large bags and carry-on luggage? We don't won't to take 2 cabs.

Yes, there are van taxis that fit 4 people. When you get in the taxi line just tell the dispatcher that you need a van.

I think many people use the shuttles because the cost is less than a cab.

When flying into FLL and sailing from the POM we've used the private car of Go Airport Shuttle with great success. It's probably about the same price is a cab but you can reserve a time and indicate ahead of time the number of passengers and luggage.

 

We've done this with 4 people (2 M/F couples) and there's always been plenty of room in the sedan. Cost was about $85 and that includes tip.
