Am I mistaken or has the price of internet gone up? I seem to recall paying less than $60 for 100 minutes.

 

 

I would have to look at past receipts but now you mention it, you are right it was about 58 or 60 for 100 or so minutes. So yeah approx 25% increase! Damn!

How was La Cucina? We ate there but were a little disappointed. But then again that was for years ago. :-)

 

Le Bistro was excellent when we went though!

So far average to good with the salad and soup waiting on pasta course: this is about olive garden level if not a bit lower but good.

Main pasta course, rigatoni with meatballs was very good with pasta cooked perfectly and entire entrée served hot, ( this was a complaint we expressed on several past cruises related to La Cucina so it seems at least this meal they improved the served temperature of the main course) . Overall this meal was a 6.5 outta 10.

We are missing the returning cruisers party with the officers from 7 -7:45. Will see if we get in the 9pm show or what the remainder of the night holds.

No mistakes, prices have gone up this Spring - I'm not sure exactly when - as late as Feb. 2015, there was an update with the satellite internet pricing based on minutes under the old rates. Link to the posting thread is here - click to see

Previously, it was $55 for 100 minutes or $100 for 250 minutes, plus Latitude members get additional bonus minutes (when purchased on Day 1) - click for link By the minutes rate is now 90 cents instead of 75 cents.

 

Preparing for the sunset. Seas and wind are picking up a bit. I wonder if this window is a deck 8 ocean view cabin with a view of lifeboats?

Very nice sunset - that's still very calm sea to us.

Those are obstructed ocean view cabins on deck 8. We booked one of those on the sibling ship - Jewel but ended up in a balcony on deck 9 midship after just one night.

Thanks for your review, we are cruising on Saturday.

 

We stayed in your Suite in November. Are you finding alot of trash on it in the mornings? It was always wet, covered in soot and had trash on it when we wanted to have our tea and coffee out there.

 

Is Jorge Atay your steward? I will come up and say hello to him.

I know it doesn't really affect you in a suite, but I'm wondering how much are they enforcing the no food out of public areas rules?

 

 

Thanks NJfoodie! Not sure I know what that rule is so I cannot comment. Do you mean you cannot take food out from the buffet for example? If so saw many people doing that.
