I came across this review just by chance. I have to say, that with your writing style and the pictures, this is absolutely one of the BEST reviews I have ever read.

Thank you so much!!! We are headed for the Glory in Feb. for the 2nd time on this ship. But, last time, we had Nassau instead of HMC. And this next time, we still won't have HMC, but Amber Cove instead. A new port for us and looking forward to it.

We are a group of 19 friends and family.

You have given me goosebumps of excitement reading your review.

I think you could find fun at a funeral. (sorry, couldn't help that).

I know you did this quite some time ago, but I just FOUND it. We are doing the Glory (8 of us) for the first time in March. I plan to finish this either tonight, or hopefully tomorrow before I go back to work.

 

I did noticed that you mentioned the word/picture "Table Rock." I do believe this is somewhere else, as we have a Table Rock Lake in southern Missouri, out of Branson, Kimberling City area.

Hey, if you want to finish this thing, I'll be more than happy to follow through to the end. And I agree, better late than never...that was actually part of the title to my Valor review a few years ago. LOL!!! And life DOES get in the way, so totally understand. :) I can't speak for every CC member, but I appreciate the time and effort others put into reviews and understand that if a review takes awhile to be finished (life, responsibilities, etc.) and sometimes never finished (lack of interest). They aren't easy. I've really enjoyed this one and looking forward to more if you have the time. :D

I am MORE than willing to read the rest of your review, when I get back from our cruise on the Glory, starting THIS Saturday. :)

 

I know it will be a new experience for the 8 of us, as none of us have done the Glory before, and most, except about 3 of us, have never cruised, and are getting really excited. :)

Ok… I am back to finish this thing!!!

 

Again better late than never right? Lets see where did I leave off?... Oh yes that is right.. finishing out our day at Grand Turk.

 

After I got my Topher fix, Ann and Jen got their drink on at Jack’s, we leisurely walked back to M’ville to go hang out in the pool and relax some more. Loved loved loved being able to leave our stuff locked up and safe while we were down the beach. Cabana gets a A+ in my cruise book.

 

We decided to have some pool and drinky time..what I love about the pool is

that I can walk through the whole pool and still touch the bottom the whole time.

That is a win for us vertically challenged folk.

 

 

We finished our drinks in the pool and then before we knew it, M’ville started thinning out and we knew what that meant… time to start gathering our stuff to head back to the ship.. LAME!

 

I asked a gentleman if he would take our photo for us and he was super nice. I have not yet encountered any one that was not in a good mood being on a cruise.

 

 

Again super sad pandas having to leave yet another beautiful place…

 

 

 

Back on board we go reluctantly and I told the girls I wanted to go up front and watch us push away then head to our cabin to finish watchin this girl do her thing while we head back out to sea.

 

 

 

Only ship in port today and it was GLORY-ous... pun intended.

We were pretty pooped from a fun day in the sun to say the least. We decided to lido deck it for dinner because we would have not made dinner in time anyways. After dinner we wanted to hit up Epic Rock show.

Showtime!!! Yes we were wearing sweatshirts because the theater was FREEZING!

 

By now you should know our normal drill for the late evening.. you guessed it.. Comedy of course!

 

Headed back to our cabin as we were beat from such a rough day at the beach. Usual nightcap of BLT and tv then Cracky was out like a light!

 

 

 

I mean who really wants a final day at sea?!! What is this disembarkation nonsense notice??

Last sea day:

Time to make the best of our last day of vacation! All three of us really wanted to do the Dr.Seuss Breakfast.. Ok let me change that.. Jen and I did.. Ann went because she knew it meant a lot to us.

Later on in the afternoon it was time for Groove for St.Jude. Another thing I wanted to do on the last cruise but was held back. So this time I was doing it! My goal is to do this each cruise. Raise money for a great cause, shake your booty for a good workout and have some fun. I paid my$10 for my t-shirt and wrist band, then cupid shuffled and wobbled off my breakfast.

We decided to walk around the ship for a little bit to get some breeze on our face after groovin. We needed a wake pic with all three of us! Whip out that selfie stick Ann!!

After we were done groovin, we headed back to the cabin toget ready for dinner… but we were not just going to regular dinner.. These two boogers surprise me that we are going to the steakhouse for dinner and that weare getting dolled up since it is last dinner for the cruise.

 

 

 

We clean up quite nicely I’d say.

Let me just state this right now.

 

If you have never eaten at the steakhouse.. you need to.. at least once.

 

Just do it.. you can make money later.

 

The experience was wonderful and the food was fantastic! It was so quiet, no hoopla (don’t get me wrong I love me some craziness and good times) but this dinner was great because us girls took this time to reflect on the week and were able to have great conversation. Granted I am not chef nor a food critic.. I will just let the food porn tell the story…..

After we were stuffed to the gills from that fabulous dinner, we walked around a bit, hit the casino and waited for comedy again..shocker I know right?? Then we had to go back to our cabin and do what all of us cruisers hate doing.. packing our suitcases back up to go home. We polished off therest of the little bit of booze we had left in our cabin because we cannot let that go to waste now can we?? With everything packed except what we needed for tomorrow, it was time for one last night cap snack from room service.

 

Felt like a short nap overnight and the worst of every cruise.. returning back to port.

 

 

Miami Sunrise… I was hoping we would get to dance in thebasin but no such luck this time… boo.

 

 

 

This is always the worst part of the cruise!

We cleaned up everything we could because we did not want tobe one of those cruisers that leave a awful mess for them to clean up.

We took our time waiting for our number to be called to disembark as we did self assist because frankly I hate trying to look for myluggage and it’s in my control.

 

Once off the ship we split a taxi to Miami airport… holy smokes that airport is nuts… glad we had plenty of time to get throughTSA! We had some lunch, hung out near Ann and Jen’s gate until it was time for them to board. Then about an hour later it was my turn to start my journey back to reality.. sigh….

 

At least my flight home was not too shabby… Miami to LAX then onward to home to Medford.

 

 

Adios Miami… until next time!!

 

 

The traveling I do for cruising… lol

 

Once I got to LAX I was starving marvin… I had slim pickings on where to eat because where Alaska airlines terminal is I did not have time to go anywhere else..I settled for a grilled cheese, fries and a soda. I was super tired already and did not care at this point.

 

 

Mmmmm grilled cheese.. most expensive grilled cheese meal I have ever eaten…

 

While I waited for my last leg of flights, I forgot I had some gummy whale tails in my backpack!

 

 

Dessert!

 

Finally it was time to board my plane and get home to my own bed!!!

 

Next morning, it was up and at ‘em and back to the daily grind..

 

 

This is definitely not the lido deck!

 

 

And that my friends…. is a wrap!

 

I hope you enjoyed following along on this cruisinbabs aka cracky the chipmunk adventure… even after almost 2 years to finish this review.

Sometimes life throws us curveballs and I appreciate everyone being so patient and understanding!
