Or better yet, stay locked up in their room with the gaps around the door taped over so the filthy and careless crew can't infect them. Oh wait - an even better idea: STAY OFF CRUISE SHIPS IN THE FIRST PLACE! (Yes, I am shouting - in frustration!)

If a Norovirus outbreak came because the crew didn't wash their hands after picking up dirty dishes then we would have an outbreak every week on every ship.

Exactly...And the thing is Noro breaks out in Hospitals and nursing homes probably more often than it does on ships. But no one ever talks about it.
