Been on Royal, Disney and Carnival many moons ago... Probably have enjoyed RCI the best, but there are so many more options. For me, I am a pool and modern music guy. Enjoy ports as much as sea days. Love the MDR, not so much the other pay for dining options. Love a balcony, some catering too and tons of different shows and amenities. Love a good cell signal and better than average cheap wifi (Yea I know...)

Of the major U.S. cruise lines which would you define as:

  1. Upscale (Into the snootie category)
  2. best for 40 something's w/adult kids
  3. Party Cruise
  4. Best MDR
  5. Best Balconies
  6. Best Pool Side Music
  7. Overall Best Entertainment
  8. Best drink prices/packages
  9. Best wifi prices
  10. Best CD's.

Based on what you said you love, and having cruised 5 lines, I think RCI is your cruise line. I have never seen entertainment better than on RCI's newer ships. Likewise, I think RCI has the best and biggest pools. Here are my opinions of your list:

1. I wouldn't put any other major lines in this category.

2. RCI

3. Carnival

4. Celebrity

5. RCI

6. RCI

7. RCI

8. Prices: Princess, Packages: Celebrity

9. Don't know.

10. Can't really pick one over the other.

I too think I'm more of a RCI Person, however I have not cruised NCL and they sound similar.
