appleosprey Posted July 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Hi, I have never cruised Princess before only RCI. We are cruising for the first time in a few weeks and there is an option to purchase Casino Credit before hand. I was wondering if this is the best way to get my Casino money without charge? I was hoping to pay for the Credit on my card and then go to the Casino and they can give me cash/chips. Is that how it works? Avoiding any cash advance fees? scott4020 Posted July 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2015 No need to pre-purchase to avoid fees. Just use your cruise card and the cash will come from your shipboard account, no fees.
Colo Cruiser Posted July 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2015 The best way to get your casino money is to head to one of the slot machines in the casino. Follow the directions on the machine and open a casino account with your ship board cruise card. Any money you put in your casino account will be charged to your shipboard account. If you end up with any extra casino credit just cash it out in the casino. No need to pre purchase anything.
bigenna Posted July 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2015 Yes, that has been our previous experience as well. Access OBC through a slot machine, then cash out any remainder right there in the casino. Is there any advantage at all to prepurchase casino credits rather than just regular OBC for use in the casino?
cactusrose Posted July 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2015 If you play table games you can also get cash against your card. Just give your card tot he dealer and tell them how much you want. There is no charge for this. You do have to play at the table for a while.
appleosprey Posted July 29, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted July 29, 2015 Thanks for your info That's different than RCI where they charge 5%. So I can get cash and charge it to my creditcard. And earn points on my Amex! Perfect!
