Thanks mschnackel - Not too awful I guess. We tend to stay up a little later since our brains are on Calif. time. I appreciate you responding!

cruisebrat, we are on the 9/25 sailing and are in cabins E504 and E506. They are obstructed by the lifeboats. From the deck diagram it appears as though ours are partially clear but we are just glad for the light. Yours are probably the same but on the other side of the ship.

mschnackel: thanks soooo much for the info on E730. I was also booked in that room. I am not a night-owl either, so I have upgraded to an AA cat. Boy am I going to miss that private covered balcony with extra space...but not worth the noise that could come from Club Fusion.

sparkle56: you too were in a cat AA and got upgraded to a suite. Anything you could suggest that would encourage Princess to let this happen to me? I am really not going to like the exposed balcony on the Dolphin deck, but I don't want to pay the extra $$$ for a regular suite. Ok...I'm cheap...

MiracleL: Were you told that your beds don't convert or did you see it on your cruise personalizer? We had our TA call Princess when we read that very same thing on our cruise personalizer. She was told it was a computer glitch. The next time we went online, it said queen bed.

we had one of the end mini's with extended balcony on the GRAND(emerald deck) and where as we LOVED the extended balcony. I would not book this cabin again, the noise from the lounge below, went on far later then we would have liked!

JKStar,

We had cabin number E728 on the Emerald Deck. So even though yours has a different number, it would be the same location as the one we were in.

I did love the cabin, the balcony is wonderful, but the noise in the evening was not good. We were above the Vista Show lounge, so at least we only had to live thru a couple hours of noise. I think Club Fusion (Is that a night club?) Might be much worse. Non stop music till the wee hours. Personally, I would not like that at all. ON a cruise we like to go to bed by 11 and get up around 6 am! so it would bother us alot. If you stay up late, and sleep late, then it may not be a problem for you. I know that this cabin is talked about a lot on these boards because of it's HUGE balcony. We ended up with the room due to an upgrade. I am not trying to talk you out of the cabin, but if you do keep it, just know there may be some "music" to consider. Better going into it knowing, then not finding out till you get there. This way, you can weigh the options.

We also have 728 on Emerald and was dissapointed because I thought it didnt have the extended balcony because they added 730! So your telling me that 728 does have an extended balcony???How late did the music bother you? If you shut the balcony door did you still hear it??

Thanks

Ali

I had Room E730 on the Caribbean Princess, but have changed to D414 due to the concerns of the noise. D414 is next to the atrium elevators. I can't imagine hearing much noice from outside the cabin. As I never heard any noise outside my cabin when I was on the Grand Princess last year.

I was on the Caribe Deck Cabin C633. Room was a bit smaller, not lots of draw space. The deck was large. Table two chairs and two lounge chairs. Lots of room. Deck above could look down on us and we could look down on the deck below. It was a good location close to aft elevator. Easy access to the Palm Dining and to the aft Pool.

We were on the Baja deck 410 (outside balcony, port). Great location almost midship and near the elevators, but not too close!! The only music system was the music channel on the TV in my room!!!

Until 4/3 Caribbean Princess

Torbs--My family will be just down the hall from your cabin in June---about six or eight cabins toward the front of the ship. Adjoining rooms for us and our two sons ages 15-20.
Tell me more.....how were the decks? Totally covered by roof, right? Those above you could look down on you, and you could look down on those below? Couch in the room? or only a desk? Plenty of closet/storage space? Quiet area?

Thanks for any and all info.

was supposed to be on baja and several weeks before got bumped to Caribe 205. Huge Balcony. Half covered. fron of the ship but not a problem. Not much more rocking....no extra noises. Pizza and burger just above on 15 (caribe is 10) wlaking to next set of elevators for dining at Coral was not bad at all. Juan is a great steward.
