The cruisers just off the Diamond state they didn't hear ANY noise from Club Fusion in the aft Mini-suite cabins. mschnachel states they heard alot of music.

I wonder if the fact that these 2 new ships were made in different shipyards makes a difference? I can't imagine the specifications by Princess were any different for the 2 of them

We had cabin C752 (Aft). This was the greaest. Covered. The only way anyone could see onto the balcony was through a 1/2 inch area that seperates the two balconys. We slept with the door open every night to hear the roar of the ocean. This was on the corner of the ship. Large balcony with a lounger.
I did not care for personal choice dining as described by others. After 2 nights of disapointments in the way reservations were handled as to non reservations you tend to be leary of going back. The guy running the dining room offered the reason as being 500 extra people eating at the same time. They should have thought this through when they added the extra deck. The computer went down on the second night. People without reservations were walking right in. People with reservation were being made to wait. When asked by another passenger how stupid was it that people without reservations were being seated while those with had to wait. The smart guy said "You should see what the line would be like if we sat people with reservations over those without"?????????
We enjoyed the movies but found the sound to be a problem. We were directly in front so it had nothing to do with where you were sitting.
Service was less than desired. Like the one person said about asking for robes on-line through Princess. We filled out the same form and had to ask our room stewart to bring us the robes. We also filled out the online request for fruit and the little cabin card request for fruit. After 2 days we never received the fruit. The room stewart was given the second card with my displesure written on the back. We received 2 bowels of fruit in less that an hour, Both Bell stewarts said they never received the request yet he was holding the one filled out by my wife from the first day.
On Thursday I went to the 15 deck to get a Diet Coke before going to bed. The bar located where the movies are shown was closed while they shot a promo for Princess. I went to the other side and the bar was covered up with kids. The bartended (1) was going to be busy for some time making fruit drinks. I went to the Aft bar where there was no one and asked for the coke. (I have the coke card). I was told he was out of Diet Coke! I told him he had to be kidding me. He said he was sorry. I told him he needed to get his supervisor on the phone. 3 bars on one deck, 1 is closed, 1 is covered up with kids and the 3rd is out of Diet Coke???? After insisting on his calling a supervisor he pulled out a can of Diet Coke and said he wasn't supposed to do this?????? This was not the first time I had been given a "Can" instead of carbon soda.
I hate that all I have listed here was negative except how great the cabin was. """But besides these problems the Cruise was not bad. Oh! someone mentioned about the entertainment with there not being enough room. The one guy I really wanted to see in the Explore Lounge we couldn't because of standing room only. We had went to Bingo and that was the reason we arrived at his starting time. So yea we could have skipped Bingo ($2,500 pot) and gotten there early but we didn't.
The casino? I saw one lady win $1,000.00 on a progressive 7 machine but I only heard about was how much people had lost on the slots. The table games I didn't hear to much about.
We brought two bottles of rum on board in our carry on from ports. They passed through security both times and nothing was said or taken. I heard other brought on even more and nothing was said.

We sailed on 04/10-17/04.
Have fun they will get things right. I saw a lot of the same crew that was on the Grand in September.

P.S. The steaks in Sterlings were great.

Richard, that is the same cabin I am booked for. Did you feel any motion there? Were 2 loungers on the balcony along with 2 chairs and a table?

We just returned Sat. from the Caribbean Princess. We were on Caribe deck - 402. Mid ship, close to elevators but no problem with noise. Love the 1/2 covered 1/2 exposed balcony - same as we had on the Grand last year. Had two reclining chairs with pads, a small side table, plus two side chairs and a dining table and plenty of extra room to move around.

Our cabin Stewart was name Edgard. He told my wife the last couple who had the cabin had asked him to get the lounger for them. He said he left the lounger. I'm sure he could bring another.Edgard has small kids at home so I tipped him on the first day when he brought me the robes. So now you know something about Edgard and if you ask him how his kids are and treat him right off he will get you anything you desire including service from the Bell Staff. You guys are going to really like this cabin. It sits off the hall way so there is no foot traffic and its just a short walk to the elevators. The Reviera deck Aft pool is two decks up and is an easy walk. No noise except the ocean!!!!!! Have fun.

OH! I forgot. The motion was just enough to rock you to sleep at night. Even when we couldn't stop because of high swells in Grand Cayman I couldn't notice anything other than what it takes to rock a small baby to sleep. Don't worry!
When the boat is docking at port and they are using the reverse thurst you can hear and fill the shift. But this is just for a short time and it's nothing. I'm a light sleeper and and I only flet this on docking back in Florida.
I'm sorry I thought I might have taken a picture of the cabin but I only took shots of the sunset' and sunrise from the back.

Richard, when I click on the link, how do you see the pictures? Yahoo page comes up with your name/photos, but you cannot open it.

You got bumped from Baja to Caribe? did you have to pay for the upgrade? Our family of four has 2 adjoining cabins on Baja for June, so I bet that would be tough to be bumped together.

Just wondering.....

I called Princess directly and was told by the agent that the beds didn't convert because of the top pullout for the third person. The agent told me they weren't allowed to move the beds together because it's a hazard due to the person on the top berth.

Going on Caribbean Princess in July. Checked cabin assignment today and was changed from a cabin on Baja to Lido (312). Has anyone been on Lido deck? It looks as if we have the last cabin before the open deck space. Wondering if it will be noisy. Thanks.

Has anyone been in e509 or e511. Can the beds in e509 be put together? I am hearing two different stories. One from Princess that says really no. One from TA that says you can request them together, but a fire hazard. Not sure if i will up grade or hope the up grade fairy finds me. This is all I've been reading from many different cruisers who had the rooms on Diamond/Emerald right above the music club.
No noise what so ever in their rooms late in the evening while the club was open.

Interesting that their would be problems on CP and not DP.

Maybe it was the fact that they were built by different ship yards huh?

cruisebrat15, We have E504 and E506 and on our cruise personalizer they have us down as having a queen size bed. My guess is that they do it no problem. We requested it through our TA and she didn't indicate a problem. My dh will be upset if they are only twins.

Has anyone been in an inside cabin? We are booked in P318 for Sept. 11. From the deck plans, the area right behind our room is the art auction area. Can anyone comment on how early the auction starts or how loud it gets?
We also keep hearing conflicting reports about the beds. Should we call Princess customer service and ask if our cabin has one of the pull down beds?

Hi,Rustynail -

I was on the Caribbean Princess last week and was in cabin A530 - BC cabin on the Aloha deck, Port side. We thought the location was ideal - we slept better than we had in years. It was quiet and our cabin Steward, Marlon, did a great job. What questions do you have?

We were in Caribe 611. The cruise personalizer said non-converting twins, but we had a queen configuration. Great cabin - didn't hear a thing or feel any motion. Nice big balcony.
