Breakaway Vibe Beach Club

I'm a Bronze level latitude member...does that matter with boarding priority?

Also, how do they determine what time you board in the groups...is it random?

Doesn't appear first come, first serve has any benefits

I really want 2 Vibe passes

I went on BA last Sept. My Wife, brother and SIL got to the pier at 8:30am and were 2nd in line. When we went to check in, we were split up based on the fact that our state room was forward and theirs was aft. We got group 6 and they got group 23. No rhyme or reason. They asked if they could board with us and no one gave them a problem. As soon as we got on the ship, I ran for guest services. Was able to get 2 cabanas. It was absolutely the best decision ever. Doing sail away in a hot tub on the top deck with a drink in hand (and no crowds) is a fantastic memory.

I might have to bribe some passengers with low numbers

Perhaps offering them a Red Sox hat might do the trick? .....ooops maybe not:eek:

Unfortunately, the earliest bus to arrive in Manhattan from Boston is 11:15, so I'll have to take my chances......

Hot tub on Vibe for sail away sounds perfect....Thanks for the replies.....

Hi Sean, yes spice h2o is adults only area during the day and it's free. But it's get crowded and it's not easy to find a lounge chair available. At night it turns into a party place for everyone. Vibe is a beach club for adults only and you have to pay to get the access to it. They only sell limited amount of passes and it's really hard to get one.

Thanks Lina, great info for the planner in the family. :D

We were just on the Breakaway 7/12 and 8/9. We were lucky enough to get Vibe passes both times. I will say that we had Priority Boarding through the Casino and were first on the ship after Suites and weddings. BOTH TRIPS, we got the LAST VIBE PASSES!! People who were in general boarding, even with an early number, were out of luck.

If you can get it, DEFINITELY GO FOR IT! It's HEAVEN...a hidden gem!

Can a recent cruiser confirm the weekly prices for Vibe? The only documentation I've seen shows $79 for the week and $299 for a cabana for the week, but I think I read elsewhere the price is now $99. I assume the cabana rental price went up too?

Great info, thanks all.

I am not a sun worshipper, but going next March with my hubby & leaving kids at home, so thinking this might be a nice relaxing place for us! We also booked with CAS, so hoping that should get us on pretty quick to get the vibe passes.

Now you definitely can't buy them ahead of time online or at the pier itself correct?

Thank you everyone! Fingers crossed we get into vibe now!

Correct. You cannot buy them ahead of time or at the pier. You can do that with the spa passes, but not vibe.

Just curious if anyone thinks getting both Thermal Spa passes AND Vibe passes is overkill? I'm trying to create a nice relaxing trip for my wife - I figured the spa would be nice for that - but we if want to spend time on the deck (and my wife really prefers to sit in shade) - should I spring for Vibe passes, too? Thanks!

We have a spa balcony w/ spa passes and are hoping to score Vibe passes again in about 2 weeks. I can report back if we used 1 more than the other and my thoughts.

Bumping to see if anyone has any thoughts on the last question. Thanks!

It all depends on what you can swallow price wise. We had the vibe last September and then bought a day pass to the Thermal Suite, so we only had it that one day. They are both awesome and offer totally different things. We are leaving again on the BA this Sunday and will have a Spa Suite (so passes included) and also plan to get Vibe. Spa is good for relaxing but it can get a little muggy in there, so you likely won't spend more than a couple of hours a day there. Vibe has plenty of shade areas (assuming no wind so they can setup umbrellas) and has a bar. The bar and outdoor breeze is the main reason we would get both. If I had to choose one over the other, I would definitely go Vibe.

We also had a Spa Suite last time. With the Haven I saw no need to get Vibe except for Adults only. I'll be curious if you use Vibe much.

You nailed it - adults only and the hot tubs are in a much better location in Vibe (in terms of ocean views and being on the sun deck).

With how much Haven is costing, an extra $160 bucks for the two of us to have Vibe access is easy to justify. Even if we only use it a couple of times, I won't regret it.

Yeah, I could see it, especially if there are a lot of kids on board. Plus no bar on upper haven sundeck.

We are leaving Sunday, we have the Spa Balcony which we loved last year, I am going to try my hardest to get to the pier early enough to get the Vibe pass, if we can a cabana also! Perfect week! I don't think it is overkill the pool deck was very crowded last year and school was back in, that's why we are looking for Vibe passes.

  • 2 weeks later...

We got to the pier shortly after 9:00 am. At 9:30 they started checking in. We were one of the first checked in and got boarding group #6. We sat until 11:30 when they started boarding. We had an aft cabin so we boarded aft. Luckily they board quickly, called groups 1-4 and not 5 minutes later called for 5-7. Got on quickly and headed straight for guest services. Snagged #'s 64 +65 for Vibe :) no cabana's left. Spend every sea day in Vibe, never crowded and was AWESOME!!! Had perfect sailing weather and got plenty of sun and then opened up an umbrella when we needed it. Never saw anyone use the cabana's  Well worth the $79 each!
